We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is an integral part of our manufacturing process and offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the design, programming, and implementation of control systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining efficient automation processes to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality. This role requires a deep understanding of control systems design, PLC programming, SCADA, automation, process control, and industrial control.
Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and implement control systems to optimize manufacturing processes and improve productivity.
2. Program PLCs for various automation tasks and ensure their seamless integration with the overall control system.
3. Develop and maintain SCADA systems to monitor and control plant operations.
4. Conduct thorough process control analysis to identify areas of improvement and implement necessary changes.
5. Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to develop and implement automation solutions.
6. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for control systems to minimize downtime.
7. Maintain accurate documentation of control system designs, modifications, and programming.
8. Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in industrial control and automation.
9. Provide training to operators and other staff on the operation and maintenance of control systems.
10. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all control system designs and implementations.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems design, PLC programming, SCADA, automation, process control, and industrial control.
3. Proficiency in various PLC programming languages and SCADA systems.
4. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial automation.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information to non-technical staff.
7. Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for control system design.
8. A strong commitment to safety and quality.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with excellent attention to detail.
10. Willingness to stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in the field of control engineering.
