Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced *Platform Architect* with deep expertise in designing, modernizing, and scaling enterprise-grade cloud platforms and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with *AWS cloud architecture, Kubernetes, Terraform, microservices, API design, platform engineering, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native modernization*.
This role requires a technical leader who can define platform architecture, guide engineering teams, improve developer experience, and build scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available systems. The candidate should be comfortable working across enterprise environments, partnering with engineering, architecture, security, DevOps, and business teams to deliver modern cloud-native solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of enterprise cloud platforms supporting large-scale application and microservice deployments.
- Define technical direction for platform engineering, cloud-native runtimes, developer experience, and internal platform capabilities.
- Architect scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems using AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Java, Spring Boot, and modern DevOps practices.
- Design and implement platform automation, CI/CD pipelines, self-service tooling, and reusable engineering frameworks.
- Drive modernization of legacy enterprise systems into cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
- Establish API design standards for REST, GraphQL, secure integrations, and enterprise service communication.
- Provide architecture guidance for event-driven systems using Kafka, MQ, and related messaging technologies.
- Collaborate with application teams to improve reliability, observability, scalability, deployment consistency, and operational efficiency.
- Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and reliability practices using tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing platforms.
- Partner with security teams to ensure secure API design, authentication, authorization, and cloud security best practices.
- Mentor engineers, review technical designs, and promote engineering best practices across teams.
- Support cloud adoption initiatives through technical enablement, workshops, standards, and hands-on guidance.
- Contribute to platform strategy, architecture roadmaps, engineering standards, and reusable cloud patterns.
Required Skills- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, platform architecture, cloud engineering, or enterprise application architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with **AWS cloud services** and cloud-native architecture.
- Deep experience in **platform engineering**, internal developer platforms, cloud runtimes, and enterprise-scale deployment models.
- Strong expertise in **Kubernetes**, containerized workloads, and cloud-native application deployment.
- Hands-on experience with **Terraform** and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong development background in **Java, Spring Boot**, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with **Python or Golang** is preferred.
- Strong understanding of **distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, high availability, and fault-tolerant design**.
- Strong experience with **API design**, including REST, GraphQL, secure API patterns, and partner integrations.
- Experience with messaging and event-driven architecture using **Kafka, MQ**, or similar technologies.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and modern DevOps tooling.
- Strong observability experience using **Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing**.
- Knowledge of secure application architecture, authentication, authorization, and secure API design.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
