Summary

We are looking for Senior Database Developer for our client in Montvale, NJ

Job Title: Senior Database Developer

Job Location: Montvale, NJ

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $50hr - $60hr

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Azure SQL / SQL Server databases to support enterprise grade applications.
Develop and optimize T SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and indexes Ensure database performance, scalability, availability, and data integrity Partner closely with application developers to support backend and full stack features Implement and manage database deployments using PowerShell and automated release pipelines.
Support CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps and GitHub Perform schema versioning, migration, partitioning, and release coordination across environments Troubleshoot production issues and perform performance tuning and root cause analysis Enforce database security, access controls, and best practices.

Required Skills And Experience:

Strong experience as a Senior Database Developer or equivalent role.
Advanced expertise in SQL Server / Azure SQL Strong T SQL development skills (stored procedures, indexing, query optimization).
Experience with Azure hosted databases and cloud based architectures.
Hands on experience with PowerShell for database deployment and automation.
Experience working with Azure DevOps pipelines and GitHub for version control.
Solid understanding of database design principles and data modeling Experience supporting applications built on .NET / C# (backend integration).

Nice to Have:

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, ARM, or Terraform.
Experience with database monitoring, performance diagnostics, and tuning in Azure Familiarity with security, auditing, and compliance requirements.
Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments Work Style Individual contributor role with strong ownership of database architecture and delivery Collaborative mindset, working closely with full stack, backend, and DevOps teams.
