Data Center Technician - Azure / AI Infrastructure (Phoenix, AZ)Location: Mesa, AZ (On-site at Microsoft Data Center - PHX66)
Overview:Microsoft is building one of its largest and most advanced data center campuses in the U.S. in the Phoenix metro area. This site (PHX66 - 75MW) will power next-generation AI infrastructure, supporting technologies such as GB300 and Vera Rubin systems.
We are hiring Data Center Technicians to support large-scale deployments including rack and stack, structured cabling, and infrastructure buildouts across IDFs and MORs. This is a great opportunity to work on high-visibility AI infrastructure projects and grow within Microsoft.
Responsibilities
- Perform rack and stack installation of servers, networking gear, and hardware
- Execute structured cabling (fiber and copper) including routing, dressing, and labeling
- Support build-out of IDFs (Intermediate Distribution Frames) and MORs (Meet-Me Rooms)
- Assist with production (PRD) deployments across active data halls
- Troubleshoot and replace faulty hardware components
- Follow data center safety and operational procedures
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
Required Skills- Experience working in a data center or similar technical environment
- Hands-on experience with rack and stack deployments
- Experience with structured cabling (fiber and copper)
- Familiarity with IDF, MDF, or MOR environments
- Ability to follow technical diagrams or deployment instructions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in large-scale data center deployments
- Background in telecom, low-voltage, or construction environments
- Experience supporting production environments
Work EnvironmentThis role is based in an active data center and construction environment. PPE is required and will be provided or reimbursed, including composite-toe boots, high-visibility vest, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and hard hat where required.

Monday through Friday standard schedule
May require shift changes (A-side/B-side) depending on project needs
