Summary

Looking for a strong Cloud Database Administrator to support and maintain production database environments. This role will focus on database design, performance, availability, and disaster recovery across cloud-based platforms.

He is looking to hire a new DBA quickly. This resource will work hybrid with him in Dallas, TX or with the rest of the team in Scottsdale, AZ.

Must-Have:

5+ years of experience working as a Database Administrator in cloud or enterprise environments
Hands-on experience administering Postgres, MySQL, and Cassandra in production systems
Strong experience with database performance tuning, including query optimization and resource tuning
Proven experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions that meet business continuity objectives
Experience implementing and supporting high availability solutions, including clustering and replication
Ability to tune and support complex database systems across:

Application level
Database level
System/infrastructure level

Experience supporting mission-critical, production environments

Nice-to-Have:

Experience working in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Exposure to automation or scripting for database administration tasks
Experience supporting large-scale or high-transaction systems
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for database performance and health
Prior experience in a healthcare or regulated environment
