Summary

We are seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to manage and optimize SQL Server environments while contributing to exciting database modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain SQL Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Oversee upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of database systems.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization to enhance query efficiency.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery planning.
  • Support and modify SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and troubleshoot ETL failures.
  • Participate in database migration projects, analyzing schemas and dependencies for seamless transitions.
  • Collaborate with team members to modernize data platforms and enhance overall data management processes.
Skills
  • Extensive experience in SQL Server administration (5+ years), particularly with SQL Server 2016 and above.
  • Strong expertise in performance tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, and high availability solutions.
  • Knowledge of database migration processes and data validation techniques.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with PostgreSQL administration or migration projects.
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting using PowerShell or advanced T-SQL.
  • Understanding of cloud-based database services such as Azure SQL or AWS RDS.
  • Exposure to database modernization initiatives and CI/CD pipelines.
