Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Epic Security Coordinator to administer and support Epic security across the enterprise healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Epic Security, EMP/SER records, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity/access management while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and organizational security policies.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Epic Security templates, EMP and SER records.
• Process, provision, modify, and revoke Epic user access requests in accordance with SLAs.
• Troubleshoot Epic security and access-related issues.
• Design, build, test, and maintain Epic security classes and templates.
• Implement and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Perform security audits, risk assessments, and access reviews.
• Collaborate with HR, Medical Staff Office, Clinical Operations, and IT teams regarding user provisioning and access governance.
• Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, and testing activities.
• Create security documentation, reports, dashboards, and metrics.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve access management processes.
• Participate in on-call rotation for urgent security and access requests.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational security policies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of Epic Security, Healthcare IT, or Identity & Access Management experience.
• Experience administering Epic Security.
• Knowledge of EMP records and SER records.
• Experience with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Experience processing Epic access requests and user provisioning.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare security standards.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic Security Certification or Epic Security Proficiency.
• Experience with Identity Governance.
• Experience creating dashboards and security reporting.
• Knowledge of Epic upgrades and security testing.
• Experience with workflow automation and batch processing.
