Role: Pega Business Architect
Location: Atlanta GA.
We are seeking a skilled Pega Business Architect (PBA) to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams in delivering solutions using the Pega Platform.
The PBA will play a key role in understanding business processes, gathering requirements, and translating them into functional designs that support the development of scalable and efficient Pega applications.
This role requires strong analytical skills, business process expertise, and hands-on experience with Pega methodologies such as Directly Capture Objectives (DCO) and Agile delivery frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to identify business needs and improvement opportunities.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications aligned with Pega capabilities. Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
Process Design & Optimization Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements using Pega case management and BPM capabilities.
Design end-to-end business workflows and case life cycles.
Define business rules, service level agreements (SLAs), and decision logic. Pega Solution Design Support Work closely with Pega System Architects to translate requirements into technical designs.
Participate in solution design discussions and ensure business requirements are accurately implemented.
Ensure adherence to Pega best practices and guardrails. Stakeholder Management Serve as the liaison between business users, product owners, and development teams. Communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders. Support product owners with backlog prioritization and roadmap planning.
Agile Delivery Support Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
Validate delivered features through functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT). Ensure alignment between delivered solutions and business objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 4 8+ years of experience in business analysis or business architecture. 2 5+ years of experience working with Pega BPM/Case Management solutions. Strong understanding of Pega Business Architect methodologies and DCO tools. Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments. Strong process modeling and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Pega Certified Business Architect (PCBA) certification. Experience in industries such as banking, insurance, healthcare, or telecom. Familiarity with Pega case management, decisioning, and integration capabilities. Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or BPMN modeling tools.
