New employees can earn $56K in total compensationwhen working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. This includes the base rate, shift differential, overtime, retention and production bonuses.
There are additional ways to earn including referral bonuses and mentoring incentives.

The Assembly Workeris responsible forassembling products according to specificationsand quality standards.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:
- Read and interprettechnicaldrawings and blueprints.
- Assemble components according to engineering specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment to assemble products.
- Tack welds or clamps parts into position.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Regular, reliable,punctualand consistent attendance.Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends asrequired.
REQUIREMENTS:
- No experiencenecessary.On the job training provided.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to apply commonsenseunderstanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
- Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists,handsand/or fingers.
- Frequent moving aboutto accomplishtasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Frequent liftingor moving objects up to50 pounds in all directions.
- Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Constantly thinking and processing information.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Manufacturing floor withmachinery.
- Exposure toairborne particles, loudnoises, andextreme heat and cold.
- Use of personal protection equipment isrequired.
