Summary

We are seeking an experienced Epic Integration Engineer to design, develop, and support integrations between an Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and various third-party healthcare applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Epic Bridges, HL7, FHIR, REST APIs, and healthcare integration technologies, along with experience supporting clinical and revenue cycle workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain integrations between Epic and external healthcare systems.
Build and support HL7 interfaces, FHIR APIs, RESTful web services, and ETL processes.
Analyze clinical and operational workflows and translate business requirements into technical integration solutions.
Configure and maintain Epic Bridges interfaces and enterprise interface engines.
Monitor interface engines and messaging queues to proactively identify and resolve integration issues.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
3+ years of hands-on experience with Epic Bridges integration development and support.
3+ years of experience working with HL7 v2.x messaging, segments, and healthcare data standards.
1–2+ years of experience developing FHIR APIs and RESTful web services in a healthcare environment.
3+ years of experience administering or developing enterprise interface engines such as:
Cloverleaf
Corepoint
Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect)
Experience translating clinical and operational workflows into technical integration specifications.
Strong knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
