ResponsibilitiesLMI is seeking a skilled Web Optimization Specialist at NASA's headquarters office in
Washington, DC. Successful Web Optimization Specialists will lead the strategy and execution of our web optimization efforts. In this role, you will develop a centralized hub for NASA's Earth Action's web presence and establish processes to support ongoing improvements. Key responsiblities include:
- Develop a hub for Earth Action web presence and a process to support continued optimization
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategy for Earth Action web properties
- Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis
- Provide SEO guidelines and content briefs to content creators
- Implement technical SEO (schema markup, site architecture, internal linking)
- Monitor and report on search rankings, traffic, and engagement metrics
- Coordinate backlink acquisition and authority building
- Optimize content for AI/search engine discoverability
- Manage web analytics and provide actionable insights
- Ensure coordination across all Earth Action web activities
- Train content creators on SEO best practices
- Stay current on search engine algorithm updates and best practices
QualificationsKey Qualifications:- 5+ years experience in SEO and web optimization
- Proven track record of improving search rankings and traffic
- Technical skills: HTML, schema markup, Google Analytics, Search Console
- Experience with SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar)
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience in science/technical communication (preferred)
- Understanding of accessibility standards (508 compliance)
