Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development, system design, production support, and application reliability. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills, experience working across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and exposure to CI/CD, cloud development, application resiliency, security, and Agile methodologies.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, troubleshooting, deploying, and maintaining secure and reliable software applications in a large enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software applications.
- Write secure, high-quality, and maintainable code using one or more programming languages.
- Troubleshoot application and technical issues across upstream and downstream systems.
- Participate in system design and contribute to scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify application issues and support technical decision-making.
- Work across the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Utilize development and SDLC tools to improve automation and engineering efficiency.
- Support production/platform environments and contribute to operational stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Apply best practices related to CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and testing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software development and operational processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of hands-on software engineering/development experience.
- Strong programming experience in one or more modern programming languages.
- Experience with application development, system design, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in large enterprise/corporate environments.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD and Continuous Delivery practices.
- Understanding of application resiliency, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Experience with databases and database querying languages such as SQL.
- Experience supporting production applications or platforms.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand and work with upstream/downstream system dependencies.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Formal training or certification in Software Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Experience with cloud technologies.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), or other emerging technologies.
- Experience with automated testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience with application/platform support and production engineering.
- Knowledge of secure software development practices.
