Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: $60-$65/hour (flexible for the right candidate)

Build the foundation for critical industrial projects. We're seeking an experienced Industrial Structural Engineer. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled structural engineering professional who enjoys solving complex design challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering safe, code-compliant solutions for industrial facilities.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field with a structural emphasis.

  • 8+ years of industrial structural engineering experience.

  • Experience with industrial, manufacturing, petrochemical, power generation, data center, or infrastructure projects.

  • Proficiency with STAAD.Pro, RISA, SAP2000, RAM, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar engineering software.

  • EIT or PE certification preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete design.

  • Ability to travel occasionally to project sites (less than 5%).


Job Duties


  • Design and analyze structural systems for industrial facilities, including foundations, equipment supports, pipe racks, platforms, retaining walls, and building structures.

  • Develop engineering calculations, technical specifications, construction drawings, and material take-offs.

  • Ensure designs meet applicable building codes, safety standards, and project requirements.

  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation, and project management teams.

  • Review vendor drawings, resolve technical challenges, and support successful project execution.

  • Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and project planning activities.


Physical Capabilities


  • Ability to work in an office environment with occasional visits to industrial facilities and project sites.

  • Ability to travel as needed for project support.
