Job Title: Senior Snowflake Access Control Configuration Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Snowflake Access Control Configuration Analyst to lead the design, implementation, and governance of access control frameworks within the Snowflake data platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake security architecture, role-based access control (RBAC), data governance, and regulatory compliance. This role will be responsible for ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable access management across enterprise data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Snowflake RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) models aligned with enterprise security policies.

• Configure and maintain user roles, privileges, masking policies, row access policies, and secure data sharing.

• Develop and enforce data access governance standards across multiple business domains.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Security, Compliance, and IAM teams to integrate Snowflake with enterprise identity providers (e.g., Okta, Azure AD).

• Implement and monitor least-privilege access principles.

• Conduct periodic access reviews, audits, and remediation activities.

• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and evidence of access controls.

• Configure and manage Snowflake features such as:

  • Network policies

  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

  • Data masking & row-level security

  • Secure views

  • Object tagging & classification

• Automate access provisioning and deprovisioning using scripting (Python, SQL) or IAM tools.

• Monitor security logs and investigate access-related incidents.

• Maintain documentation of security configurations and governance procedures.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.

• 6+ years of experience in Data Security, Access Management, or Data Governance.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake security and access control configuration.

• Strong expertise in:

  • Snowflake RBAC architecture

  • SQL

  • Data masking and row access policies

  • Secure data sharing

  • Account-level security settings

• Experience integrating Snowflake with enterprise IAM solutions (Okta, Azure AD, LDAP).

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).

• Experience with audit and compliance processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Snowflake Certification (SnowPro Core / Advanced Security).

• Experience with data catalog and governance tools (Collibra, Alation, etc.).

• Knowledge of DevOps or Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).

• Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).

• Familiarity with SIEM tools and monitoring platforms.
