Overview

An established aerospace manufacturing organization is seeking a Help Desk II Analyst to support end-users, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain core IT systems. This role is hands-on, customer-facing, and essential to keeping daily operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate is experienced in desktop support, knowledgeable across diverse technologies, and able to communicate clearly with users at all levels.

Key Objectives

Provide timely and effective technical support to end users
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
Document support activities and maintain service desk records
Support patching, updates, and routine system maintenance

Responsibilities

Respond to incoming help desk tickets and requests
Prioritize, resolve, and escalate issues as appropriate
Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot problems
Access and apply software updates, drivers, and knowledge-base resources
Install, upgrade, and configure software and hardware
Perform hands-on workstation and peripheral fixes (desktops, printers, etc.)
Conduct preventative maintenance on IT equipment
Test solutions to confirm full resolution
Complete follow-up communication with end users
Manage user permissions, profiles, and access settings
Write and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-base articles
Recommend process improvements to increase IT efficiency and value
Participate in organization-wide and local IT projects

Required Qualifications

5+ years in a Help Desk, Desktop Support, or similar IT support role
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network components
Experience with performance analysis and root-cause investigation
Knowledge of desktops, laptops, printers, and other technology devices
Strong communication skills for assisting users and collaborating with leadership
Experience with O365, Azure AD, Firewalls, and Windows Server
Associate degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with VPN clients, MFA technologies, and IT ticketing systems
Background with Windows Active Directory, O365, and Azure services
Exposure to infrastructure equipment (switches, firewalls, peripherals)
Experience with VOIP phone systems, video surveillance, and door access systems
Professional IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.)
Familiarity with CMMC/NIST security standards

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Frequent standing, walking, sitting, typing, and communication
Ability to squat, stoop, kneel, and lift light to moderate items
Work may occur indoors and outdoors, including driving between sites
Possible proximity to mechanical equipment and electrical components
Noise levels vary from quiet to loud depending on work area
