Summary



Contract Role--3 months with potential to extend. Some onsite needed in Madison. Open to IL or WI candidates.


The role will operate in a hybrid Business Analyst Project Manager capacity, partnering closely with procurement leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements, drive process improvements, and support system-enabled changes within the COUPA Source-to-Pay platform.


Key Responsibilities




  • Lead multiple procurement process improvement initiatives, managing scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.




  • Work with functional managers across:




    • Category Management




    • Procurement Operations




    • Accounts Payable (AP)






  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement across procurement workflows.




  • Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements across the end-to-end Source-to-Pay lifecycle.




  • Facilitate workshops to document current-state and future-state procurement processes.




  • Translate business requirements into system-ready requirements supporting COUPA configuration and enhancements.




  • Partner with IT and system administrators on changes across COUPA modules including:




    • Sourcing / RFx




    • Supplier onboarding & supplier information management




    • Contract lifecycle management




    • Supplier risk evaluation and due diligence




    • Requisitioning, ordering, and approval workflows




    • Invoicing and payment processes




    • Supplier performance monitoring






  • Maintain project governance artifacts such as:




    • Project plans




    • RAID logs




    • Decision logs




    • Status reporting






  • Support testing coordination, issue resolution, and readiness activities.




  • Assist with change enablement including communications, training coordination, and rollout support.




  • Lead and coordinate 1-2 supporting business analysts executing the workstream deliverables.




Required Qualifications




  • 5+ years of experience in procurement-focused business analysis, project management, or process improvement.




  • Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement and Source-to-Pay processes.




  • Experience working with procurement technologies (COUPA strongly preferred).




  • Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and translate business needs into actionable requirements.




  • Strong communication skills with both operational practitioners and leadership stakeholders.
