Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of Azure cloud services, including infrastructure setup, cloud security configurations, and workload migrations.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into actionable project milestones and facilitate technical discussions between developers, architects, and federal stakeholders.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle of IT systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and technical resources using data-driven insights.
  • Ensure all implementations meet federal regulations (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST), security standards, and rigorous reporting requirements.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for government clients, vendors, and internal engineering teams.
  • Drive Agile, Scrum, or DevOps practices to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.
  • Prepare technical project artifacts, status reports, and metrics to support audit readiness and transparency.

Required Qualifications:

  •  8+ years of IT Project Management experience, with a heavy focus on federal government projects.
  • Proven experience managing Azure services implementation (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong mastery of the SDLC, Agile/SAFe, and modern DevOps frameworks.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, CSM, SAFe, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect/Fundamentals.
  • Prior experience working with DHS, DoD, or major civilian agencies.
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) preferred.
  • Experience in hybrid-cloud environments and federal data center consolidation.

ASSYST Benefits:

We are proud to offer a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts and more in order for our employees to maintain a secure work/life balance.
