We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with strong expertise in network automation and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching for on-site support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure while driving automation initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, with a focus on Layer 2/Layer 3 switching technologies Develop and implement network automation solutions to streamline provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting Manage and optimize network performance, availability, and security across data center and campus environments Automate routine network operations using scripting and orchestration tools Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network integration and deployment efforts Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis Maintain up-to-date network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures Participate in change management, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of network engineering experience
Strong expertise in: Layer 2/Layer 3 switching (VLANs, VRRP, MC-LAG, STP, VTP, PortChannel, and routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP) Network design and troubleshooting in enterprise environments Hands-on experience with network automation tools, such as: Demonstrated proficiency in Python, Ansible, or similar scripting/automation frameworks REST APIs and network programmability concepts Familiarity with major networking platforms (e.g., Dell, Cisco, Arista, Juniper) Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security fundamentals |
