Position: Desktop Support Specialist (Expert)
Job Description: Seeking an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to support high volumes of Service Desk requests and customer software support. On-site travel across designated counties is required. Responsibilities include hardware/software installation and imaging, printer setup, data/profile migration, handling incidents and problems, documenting processes, and coordinating with system and application teams. Strong customer-facing communication, proactive issue resolution, and familiarity with enterprise tools (e.g., ServiceNow, AD/CITRIX) are essential. The role involves collaboration with data center, network, and application teams to resolve complex issues and maintain security compliance.
Key Responsibilities (simplified):
- Provide on-site desktop support, imaging, and software deployment
- Install and configure printers and peripherals; manage data/profile migration
- Track and escalate incidents, work with ServiceNow, and update stakeholders
- Collaborate with AD, Citrix, email, and data storage teams on user issues
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and adhere to security policies
Most Important Technical Skills:
- Desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and networking basics
- Installing and imaging new computers; software loading for users
- Printer deployment and peripheral configuration
- Data migration and user profile migration
- ServiceNow usage and incident/problem management; AD/CITRIX awareness
