The Product Master File Department has overall responsibility for the firm's master security data and pricing for the US and Canada. PMF manages and controls critical security reference data utilized across the firm for trade execution and settlement, dividend and distribution payment, client reporting and online access, and other core business functionality. PMF executes these processes leveraging complex systems and evolving technology solutions.

The Product Master File department is looking for a data advisor to join the group. This position has a broad scope of responsibility for completing a variety of core processes, supporting department and firm projects, and operating as a workflow coordinator.

This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organization and problem-solving, complex decision making, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

The position necessitates a broad knowledge of securities data and the impact across internal systems. Must have the ability to articulate pertinent project information to other areas and leaders, while ensuring proper testing is completed for enhancements/initiatives.

This role requires an individual that can quickly adapt to change and drive innovation. The work of Product Master File is evolving and requires a self-motivated individual to lead process improvements, automate manual processes, and mitigate risk.

Position Requirements

Positon Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in a financial services environment (or equivalent) required.
  • Knowledge of complex systems and system interdependencies within Operations.
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and handle a heavy workload in order to fulfill all the roles within the department.
  • Industry knowledge and skills as it relates to products, services, and processes.
  • Requires the ability to make recommendations to resolve and improve system issues.
  • Must have ability to identify process improvement opportunities, determine business requirements, develop and execute test scripts for enhancements through implementation while understanding downstream impacts to other systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and database querying tools are preferred.
  • Takes initiative; motivated self- starter and detailed oriented; able to meet deadlines while working independently and/or remotely.

Salary Information

Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates.
