• VMware Certified Advanced Professional - VMware Cloud Foundation VKS 9.0 (3V0-24.25)
• Active VMware Tanzu certification track (VCP-Tanzu)

Role Summary

The VMware Cloud Foundation VKS Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and optimizing Kubernetes-based platforms within VMware Cloud Foundation environments. The consultant will support enterprise container platform initiatives, Tanzu deployments, workload modernization, and cloud-native application infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

• Design enterprise Kubernetes platforms using VMware Cloud Foundation VKS.
• Develop scalable, secure, and highly available container platforms.
• Define platform standards, governance, and operational best practices.
• Develop reference architectures and deployment blueprints.

Implementation & Integration

• Deploy and configure VMware Tanzu Kubernetes environments.
• Integrate VKS platforms with networking, storage, security, and CI/CD tools.
• Support migration of traditional workloads to containerized platforms.
• Configure ingress, networking, storage classes, and cluster lifecycle management.

Operations & Support

• Monitor platform health, performance, and capacity.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Support platform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Develop operational runbooks and support documentation.

Security & Compliance

• Implement Kubernetes security controls and policies.
• Configure identity integration, RBAC, and certificate management.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.

Client Engagement

• Conduct workshops and technical design sessions.
• Provide architecture recommendations and modernization roadmaps.
• Participate in project planning and stakeholder meetings.
