Job Details:
We are seeking an experienced SAP BPC Consultant to design, implement, configure, and support SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation processes, along with strong technical skills in SAP BPC (Embedded or Standard model, BPC on HANA/BW4HANA) to drive automation and efficiency in financial reporting and planning cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and configure SAP BPC models, dimensions, hierarchies, script logic, and business rules for planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation.
- Develop and maintain input templates, reports, and dashboards using SAP Analysis for Office (AFO) and/or EPM add-in.
- Configure consolidation processes including intercompany eliminations, currency translation, ownership management, and group reporting.
- Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional BPC solutions.
- Develop and optimize BPF (Business Process Flows) for planning cycles and approval workflows.
- Write and troubleshoot Script Logic, Member Formulas, and Data Manager packages.
- Integrate SAP BPC with SAP BW/BW4HANA, S/4HANA, and other source systems for data loading and validation.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles.
- Provide production support, incident resolution, and performance tuning for existing BPC applications.
- Document technical designs, configuration specs, and end-user training materials.
- Stay current with SAP roadmap changes (e.g., migration paths to SAC – SAP Analytics Cloud) and recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3–7+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP BPC (Standard or Embedded model).
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and legal/management consolidation processes.
- Proficiency in BPC scripting (Script Logic, Member Formulas), Data Manager, and BPF configuration.
- Experience with SAP BW/BW4HANA data modeling (InfoProviders, transformations, DTPs) for BPC Embedded.
- Familiarity with SAP Analysis for Office, EPM Add-in, or SAC reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) as they relate to consolidation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP BPC certification.
- Experience with SAP Group Reporting or migration projects from BPC to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) / Group Reporting.
- Knowledge of S/4HANA Finance and integration touchpoints.
- Experience with ABAP debugging for troubleshooting BW/BPC issues.
- Prior experience in a global, multi-entity consolidation environment.
- Agile/Scrum project delivery experience.
Soft Skills
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work with Finance business partners.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
