  • Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas, NV, based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking Structured Cabling Technicians for an opportunity in Houston, TX.

    This position supports an AP Refresh project within a refrigerated warehouse facility, involving the installation of Cat6A cabling, wireless access points, fiber infrastructure, and MDF/IDF connectivity. Candidates must be comfortable working in cooler environments and at elevated heights within an active warehouse setting.

    Responsibilities
    • Install, terminate, label, and test Cat6A cabling for wireless access points
    • Install customer-provided wireless access points at designated warehouse locations
    • Install patch panels, NEMA cabinets, conduits, and associated hardware
    • Install and support single-mode fiber infrastructure and fiber enclosures
    • Remove existing APs, fiber, antenna cabling, and associated infrastructure as directed
    • Perform cable dressing and cable management according to industry standards
    • Read and interpret floor plans and installation layouts
    • Work safely at heights ranging from 35-45 feet on red iron structures
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following site safety requirements
    • Document labeling and testing results accurately
    Requirements

    • Must be local to Houston, TX
    • Experience with structured cabling installations required
    • Experience working in warehouse environments
    • Experience working in cooler/refrigerated environments preferred
    • Comfortable working at heights between 35-45 feet
    • Comfortable working from scissor lifts preferred
    • Knowledge of Cat6A installation, termination, labeling, and testing standards
    • Ability to install cable pathways and conduit
    • Fiber installation experience preferred
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Must have reliable transportation and standard technician tools/PPE Project Details
    • Estimated Total Technician Hours: 959
    • Work performed during normal business hours
    • Active refrigerated warehouse environment (34F-40F)
    • Variations in work hours may occur due to warehouse operations
