Data Governance / Data Retention Specialist

Team is looking for a senior resource who has strong understanding and experience of

·       RIM - Records Information Management - Mandatory

·       ROPA - Records of Processing Activity – Mandatory

Onsite role – Plano TX

What we’re looking for:

·       The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, and managing data retention policies and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

·       This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with data governance frameworks.

·       The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective retention strategies, monitor data lifecycle processes, and support audits and reporting related to data retention.

What you’ll be doing:

·       Data Retention Implementation Specialist will be responsible for executing data retention implementation and remediation activities.

·       This includes analysing retention assessments and details provided by applications to ensure adherence to corporate policies and standards. 

·       The specialist will identify gaps or non-compliance issues related to data retention, and work with the application teams to design remediation plans to address these deficiencies.

·       Additionally, the resource will be expected to make recommendations to improve data retention practices and minimize risks associated with the existing data retention process at TFS.

Requirements:

Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills  

·       Strong knowledge of data retention regulations and compliance requirements

·       Experience with data governance frameworks and data lifecycle management.

·       Proficiency in configuring and managing data retention implementations.

·       Analytical skills to identify retention gaps and develop effective remediation plans.

·       Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
