Key Responsibilities

Technical Design & Architecture

• Lead the technical design and breakdown of complex systems and platforms into scalable solutions.

• Decompose business and product needs into robust components, services, and interfaces.

• Uphold engineering standards, best practices, and quality protocols team-wide.

• Collaborate with architects to ensure designs align with enterprise and cloud standards.

Hands-On Engineering Leadership

• Hands-on design, development, and testing of key components and shared frameworks.

• Demonstrate leadership through coding, code reviews, and mentoring.

• Act as the go-to expert for resolving tough engineering problems and production incidents.

• Conduct full-stack root cause analyses and implement lasting resolutions.

Quality, Reliability & Performance

• Implement quality controls, coding standards, and non-functional requirements.

• Champion testing strategies, automation, and readiness for production deployment.

• Verify that solutions deliver on performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

• Assist with launch support and post-launch stability.

Technical Governance & Collaboration

• Offer technical advice to engineers across squads and workstreams.

• Work with delivery and product teams to optimize scope, quality, and deadlines.

• Evaluate estimates, designs, and approaches for risks and viability.

• Help evolve engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 12+ years in professional software engineering.

• Proven track record in designing and delivering large-scale enterprise solutions.

• Solid grasp of modern software engineering principles and design patterns.

• Ability to shape technical decisions without formal team management.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in one or more backend and frontend technology stacks (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, JavaScript frameworks).

• Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architectures.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing.

• Strong troubleshooting skills across application, infrastructure, and integration layers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in regulated industries or large enterprises.

• Experience in consulting or multi-vendor delivery environments.

• Knowledge of cloud-native, event-driven, or data-heavy architectures.

• Relevant certifications in cloud, architecture, or engineering.
