As demand continues to grow across their Mission Critical and Data Center sector, they are looking to add a driven and commercially minded Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to their expanding team. The Opportunity
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to some of North America's most significant and technically demanding developments, supporting clients across data centers, mission-critical facilities, advanced manufacturing, and large-scale commercial construction projects.
Working as part of a high-performing commercial team, you will provide cost management expertise throughout the full project life cycle, helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently, commercially robustly, and aligned with client objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cost management activities from project inception through to close-out.
• Prepare and present detailed cost plans, estimates, budgets, forecasts, and commercial reports.
• Manage tendering and procurement activities, including bid evaluations, contractor selection, and commercial recommendations.
• Review, validate, and challenge contractor and supplier pricing using market intelligence and benchmarking data.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, cash flow, and commercial performance throughout delivery.
• Assess and manage change orders, variations, payment applications, and contractor claims.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies to protect project outcomes.
• Facilitate regular commercial reviews with clients, project teams, contractors, and key stakeholders.
• Support contract administration, dispute avoidance, and final account negotiations.
• Utilize industry-standard estimating, quantity take-off, cost management, and reporting tools to drive informed decision-making.

What you'll need to succeed

• 4+ years of experience in construction cost management, quantity surveying, estimating, cost control, or a related commercial construction function.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through project completion.
• Data center, mission-critical, advanced manufacturing, or other highly technical construction project experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, procurement strategies, contract administration, value engineering, and commercial risk management.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and leading commercial discussions with project stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze complex project information and provide strategic cost and commercial advice.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience preparing estimates, cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Proficiency with cost estimating, quantity take-off, cost control, and project management software platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
