Day-to-Day Responsibilities
The team is seeking one Test Software Engineer to support manufacturing test systems for production hardware. The primary need is for someone who can develop test software from the ground up using Go (Golang) to automate functional test sequences on newly built test fixtures located onsite in Reno. A secondary need is maintaining and improving existing deployed test software used by contract manufacturers.

The software will run on a local PC attached to test equipment, communicating with test hardware and the unit under test to execute functional test sequences, control fixtures, manage safety interlocks, and post-test data to a ClickHouse database. The test fixture hardware already exists, is fully built with schematics, and requires software to automate the complete testing workflow.
  • Develop Go-based test software to automate functional and manufacturing test sequences
  • Integrate with electrical test hardware and production fixtures
  • Implement software layers for hardware communication, test execution, safety, and data reporting
  • Post test results to databases (ClickHouse)
  • Maintain and improve existing test software deployed at contract manufacturers
  • Optimize test cycle time and yields by refining software logic (reducing retries, delays, inefficiencies)
  • Support test equipment deployment at manufacturing sites (potential travel to locations such as Texas or Mexico)
