Our 1 North America Facilities & Infrastructure Engineering team is seeking a Principal Engineer (L10) to provide technical strategy, technical design/support, and obsolescence project management for the utility systems supporting our manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Act as the go-to expert for complex utility systems (e.g. steam, chilled water, compressed air, boilers, HVAC, compressors, wastewater).
- Design & Development: Provide input on new infrastructure designs, feasibility studies, and capital projects, ensuring standards are met.
- Operations & Maintenance: Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for utility assets, ensuring uptime and efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Project Management: Manage projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, vendor management, and contractor
oversight. - Risk Management: Develop and implement disaster recovery and safety protocols for utility systems.
- Mentorship: Train and guide junior engineers and technicians on best practices and complex issues.
- Reporting & Documentation: Facilitate national auditing program of utility systems, review technical reports, documentation.
- Strategy & Execution: Develop, maintain, and execute obsolescence replacement strategy for utility assets nationally.
Compensation and Benefits:- The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250.

- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.

Qualifications- BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil)
- 8+ years of professional experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with specific utility systems and infrastructure (steam, chilled water, compressed air, boilers, HVAC, compressors, nitrogen, wastewater)
- Relevant licensing (PE, EIT) and/or Certifications (Water/Wastewater) a plus
- Self-motivated, results & action-oriented to lead and drive an agenda.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate well to project stakeholders including senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
- High proficiency in negotiating with vendors, contractors and consultants.
- Proven leadership in troubleshooting/problem solving in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of finance, product/project cost tracking and reporting.
- Strong team building skills to manage and lead cross-functional teams.
- Computer skills to include familiarity with computer maintenance management systems, reporting/tracking software, Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD etc.
- Proficiency with basics of finance, product cost accounting. Able to effectively manage and track project spending and report financials on a regular basis
- Able to travel; individual can expect to be out of the office approximately 30% of the time to facilitate and manage plant projects.
- Individual project CAPEX expenditure experience should be in excess of $5MM.
