Summary

Overview

We are seeking a Senior AI Consultant to join a high-impact enterprise transformation engagement focused on evaluating and optimizing a large-scale AI portfolio across multiple business units. This role blends deep technical assessment capabilities with strong consulting and stakeholder engagement skills.

The ideal candidate will help assess production AI and machine learning initiatives, support AI governance and scorecarding efforts, and provide strategic insight to senior technology and transformation leaders. This is not a pure engineering role — it is a consultative position focused on evaluating AI maturity, risk, operational effectiveness, governance alignment, and enterprise readiness.

This individual will operate in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities and will partner closely with AI program leaders, enterprise stakeholders, and transformation teams.

Key Responsibilities

AI & ML Portfolio Assessment

  • Evaluate enterprise AI/ML programs, platforms, and operational processes
  • Assess AI initiatives for technical maturity, governance alignment, scalability, and business impact
  • Review existing machine learning implementations, data science workflows, and operational AI capabilities
  • Identify strengths, risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across AI programs

AI Governance & Scorecard Support

  • Contribute technical insight to AI governance frameworks and AI scorecard initiatives
  • Support assessment methodologies related to responsible AI, operational readiness, and enterprise adoption
  • Help define and interpret AI evaluation criteria, metrics, and reporting structures
  • Collaborate with program leadership to align technical findings with governance objectives

Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

  • Facilitate discussions between technical teams, transformation leaders, and business stakeholders
  • Present assessment findings and recommendations to senior technical leadership and executive-adjacent audiences
  • Develop clear, concise presentation materials and executive-ready summaries
  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights without oversimplifying

Consulting & Transformation Support

  • Operate effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments
  • Provide strategic guidance across multiple AI initiatives and organizational stakeholders
  • Support broader transformation objectives through analytical and consultative leadership
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AI program managers, architects, data science teams, and governance leaders

Required Qualifications

  • Strong background in applied machine learning, data science, or AI consulting
  • Experience evaluating, auditing, or assessing enterprise AI/ML programs
  • Ability to analyze AI systems from both technical and operational perspectives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior leaders
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations and communicating assessment results
  • Ability to navigate complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, transformation-oriented engagements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within telecommunications or other highly complex enterprise environments
  • Background in enterprise architecture, AI strategy, ML platform evaluation, or AI governance
  • Experience supporting AI transformation, governance, or responsible AI initiatives
  • Familiarity with production ML lifecycle management and enterprise AI operating models

What This Role Is Not

  • This is not a hands-on full-stack engineering or production development role
  • This role does not require deep specialization exclusively in Generative AI or LLMs
  • The consultant will support AI scorecard and governance initiatives but will not solely own deliverable creation

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate combines strong technical credibility with polished consulting and stakeholder management abilities. They are comfortable evaluating enterprise AI systems, facilitating strategic discussions, and presenting recommendations to leadership audiences. They thrive in dynamic environments where problem definition and priorities continue to evolve throughout the engagement.
