Summary
Experience: 3–5 Years (2+ years with Azure / Microsoft Fabric required)
Location: Remote
- Lead the migration of an existing SQL-based data platform to Microsoft Fabric. Design and build modern data pipelines using Fabric Data Factory, implement Medallion architecture on OneLake, leverage Spark notebooks, and create Fabric Warehouse models to deliver scalable, analytics-ready solutions.
- Key Responsibilities
- Migrate data from Azure SQL and legacy ETL pipelines into Microsoft Fabric
- Redesign ETL using Fabric capabilities and implement Medallion architecture
- Build pipelines with Fabric Data Factory and develop transformations in Spark notebooks (PySpark/SQL)
- Create and model Fabric Warehouses and work with OneLake
- Optimize Spark jobs, pipelines, and queries; implement partitioning, incremental loads, and CDC
- Apply RBAC, data governance, and Microsoft Purview integration
- Set up CI/CD pipelines using Git/Azure DevOps and support Dev → Test → Prod promotion
- Collaborate with BI teams on Power BI semantic models and provide production support
- Strong data engineering experience on Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, OneLake, Spark, Fabric Warehouse)
- Strong SQL and PySpark skills
- Experience with Azure SQL, data migration, and modernization projects
- Knowledge of Lakehouse, ELT, and Medallion architectures
- Power BI data modeling
- Microsoft Purview
- CDC or streaming experience
- Fabric or Azure Data Engineer certifications
