SAP GTS Consultant @ Austin, TX (Onsite)

Job Summary

The client is seeking an experienced SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Consultant to support and enhance global trade compliance, customs, and export control processes. The role will be part of a global SAP team responsible for delivering compliant, scalable, and efficient trade solutions aligned with client’s life sciences operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP GTS (Compliance, Customs, Risk Management) and experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, diagnostics, or pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation, rollout, and support of SAP GTS solutions across global regions
• Configure and support core GTS modules:
• Compliance Management (Sanctioned Party Screening, Embargo)
• Customs Management (Imports/Exports)
• Risk Management & Trade Preference
• Translate business requirements into SAP GTS functional and technical solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SAP SD, MM, FI, Logistics) for seamless integration
• Perform system configuration, testing, and deployment using SAP Activate or similar methodologies
• Manage master data relevant to global trade (products, partners, classification)
• Support audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance documentation
• Drive process improvements and automation in global trade operations
• Provide production support, issue resolution, and continuous optimization

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in SAP GTS implementation/support
• Strong knowledge of:
• Export/Import Compliance
• Customs Processes
• Product Classification & Tariffs
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration (SD/MM/FI)
• Hands-on experience in configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP GTS solutions
• Understanding of global trade regulations and compliance frameworks
• Experience in life sciences / pharma / diagnostics domain (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder communication and client-facing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP GTS Certification
• Experience in S/4HANA GTS (GTS E4H)
• Exposure to global template design & rollout programs
• Experience in multinational/global deployment environments
