Infrastructure Financial & Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Charlotte, NC that is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Financial & Business Analyst to support a senior technology leader responsible for enterprise infrastructure operations. This role will serve as the connective tissue between technical teams, finance, procurement, and leadership by transforming complex technical and financial data into actionable insights, executive-level reporting, and business recommendations. They do not need to be an engineer, but must be comfortable working with architects, engineers, and technical stakeholders while driving budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, workforce analysis, and strategic reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
* Consolidate, analyze, and report on technology budgets, forecasts, CapEx, and OpEx expenditures
* Build and maintain advanced Excel-based financial models, reports, dashboards, and analyses
* Support annual planning activities, including budget development and forecasting exercises
* Gather information from multiple infrastructure teams and convert technical details into concise, executive-ready summaries and recommendations
* Perform workforce planning, headcount tracking, skills analysis, and organizational reporting
* Develop business cases and financial justification for hardware, software, and infrastructure investments
* Create standardized one-page investment summaries outlining costs, business rationale, benefits, and funding requirements
* Track purchase orders, procurement requests, vendor renewals, and technology spending commitments
* Partner closely with finance, procurement, vendor management, and technology leadership teams
* Leverage AI tools and enterprise productivity technologies to accelerate research, reporting, analysis, and documentation
* Manage confidential financial, workforce, and organizational data with a high degree of discretion and professionalism

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, technology operations, procurement, or a related field
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, data analysis, pivot tables, formulas, and financial modeling
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create executive-level presentations and summaries
* Proven ability to gather information from multiple stakeholders and synthesize it into actionable business insights
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
* Experience handling confidential business and financial information

Strong experience with:
* Budgeting and forecasting
* CapEx and OpEx planning
* Cost analysis and financial reporting
* Purchase orders and procurement processes
* Data consolidation and executive reporting

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, data center, cloud, or platform engineering organizations
* Experience working with finance and procurement organizations
* Familiarity with SAP Ariba or similar procurement platforms
* Experience developing technology business cases and investment justifications
* Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, or other enterprise AI assistants to improve productivity and analysis

Understanding of:
* Server and compute environments
* Infrastructure lifecycle management
* Hardware and software renewals
* Technology asset management
* Enterprise infrastructure purchasing processes

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
