TESTING SPECIALIST/TESTER

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to support enterprise software testing activities by planning, designing, executing, and validating software solutions through Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The ideal candidate will ensure software applications meet functional, technical, security, performance, and regulatory requirements while maintaining high quality standards throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role requires expertise in test planning, test execution, defect management, security validation, and quality assurance within complex enterprise and DoD environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, and execute comprehensive software test strategies for enterprise applications.
• Perform Integration Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, Functional Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, test scenarios, and testing procedures based on business and technical requirements.
• Prepare and manage test data required to support all phases of software testing.
• Execute manual and automated software tests to validate application functionality, system integration, and performance.
• Analyze software behavior and verify compliance with functional specifications, technical requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Review software designs and technical documentation to ensure test coverage aligns with project objectives.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution using defect management tools.
• Perform root cause analysis for software defects and collaborate with development teams to validate corrective actions.
• Evaluate test results and provide recommendations regarding software quality, readiness, and production deployment.
• Analyze internal system security controls and validate software compliance with organizational cybersecurity policies.
• Verify software functionality across integrated enterprise systems, interfaces, APIs, databases, and external applications.
• Support end-to-end testing of system enhancements, software upgrades, patches, and new releases.
• Participate in software requirement reviews, design reviews, and change management activities.
• Ensure testing activities comply with established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Configuration Management processes.
• Prepare and maintain testing documentation, including test reports, defect logs, traceability matrices, and test summary reports.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Support production readiness reviews and post-deployment validation activities.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote testing best practices across project teams.
