Description

Tyler Technologies is looking for an Information Security Operations Intern to join our team for the Summer 2026 Internship Program. The Information Security Operations Intern is an entry level, learning position and may be assigned tasks related to audit compliance, steady state security operations, identifying organization improvement opportunities, and recommending appropriate security solutions to other team members and management. This individual will assist other team members with ongoing projects to help further team initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Support ongoing Information Security projects and team initiatives
  • Assist with analysis and improvement of security monitoring and alerting capabilities
  • Contribute to evaluation and documentation of security tooling and data sources
  • Research security technologies, trends, and best practices to support team objectives
  • Help develop and maintain security documentation, processes, and reference materials
  • Participate in analysis of security findings to support tuning and quality improvements
  • Engage in security awareness, training, and team activities as appropriate
Qualifications
  • Exposure to information security, risk assessment or information technology
  • Basic knowledge of server hardware and configurations
  • Basic knowledge of networking
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of directory services
  • Basic knowledge of virtual machines
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a team of professionals on technical and business issues
  • Basic understanding of information security standards, concepts, controls, testing techniques and technical risk assessment
  • Experience or training in technical writing preferred
