Automation Test Engineer

Introduction:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and executing detailed manual test cases, as well as developing and maintaining Selenium automation scripts. This role requires working closely with the development team to ensure product quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and execute detailed manual test cases based on functional requirements and technical specifications.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain Selenium automation scripts for testing across multiple browsers and mobile devices.
• Perform testing at both the UI layer and Data layer using appropriate testing tools and techniques.
• Identify, log, and track defects in Jira when application behavior does not meet defined specifications.
• Participate in daily Agile stand-ups, sprint planning, and team discussions.
• Collaborate with development team members to validate defects and support root cause analysis.
• Create, update, and manage test cases in TestRail for proper test coverage and traceability.
• Continuously update task status and progress in Jira for clear communication with the onshore test lead.
• Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, coverage, and automation maturity.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance.
• 3+ years of test automation experience using Selenium.
• 2+ years of experience working with Databricks and/or Azure Data Factory.
• 1+ year of experience with Cucumber (BDD framework).
• 1+ year of experience using Rest Assured for API testing.
• Strong proficiency in Java, with the ability to design and develop programs from scratch.
• 1+ year of experience using Jenkins for CI/CD automation.
• 1+ year of experience delivering automation solutions within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience working with Eclipse or similar IDEs.
• Hands-on experience with Git for version control.
