Azure Event Grid and Java Specialist-Oakland, CA (Onsite) Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Event Grid & Java Specialist with strong hands-on experience in event-driven architecture, serverless computing, and containerized microservices on Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure Functions (Java), Azure Event Grid, Service Bus, and AKS, along with strong Java/Spring Boot development experience.

This role requires an engineer who can design scalable, secure, and production-grade cloud-native solutions in a distributed systems environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement serverless solutions using Azure Functions and Azure Durable Functions (Java).
Develop and maintain event-driven architectures using Azure Event Grid and Azure Service Bus.
Deploy and manage containerized Java applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Integrate Azure services with enterprise-grade Java/Spring Boot microservices.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure application scalability, reliability, observability, and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed systems and microservices environments.
Contribute to architectural design, system analysis, and engineering best practices.
Develop high-quality, maintainable, and secure code following TDD and CI/CD principles.
Produce complete and clear technical documentation.

Required Skills & Expertise:

Strong hands-on experience with:
- Azure Functions & Azure Durable Functions (Java)
- Azure Event Grid (event routing, pub/sub)
- Azure Service Bus (messaging & queueing)
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Proficiency in Java 11+, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep).
Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights.
Knowledge of Azure security best practices including RBAC, Managed Identities, Networking.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native design patterns.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience designing secure enterprise applications.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience interpreting technology roadmaps and lifecycle planning (EOL/EOS).
Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
