FTS has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA.

The Systems Engineer provides subject matter expertise to customers in ground system design, architecture development, cloud application development, and system testing.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for the integration of mission systems
Analyze user needs, concept of operations, and high-level systems architectures to develop system requirements
Provide technical support to government points of contacts
Identify and communicate system engineering risks, issues, opportunities, assumptions, mitigations, and dependencies
Collaborate with SETA team members, development contractors, and customer forums
Effectively communicate and interface with engineers from various contractors and government organizations
Develop assessments and briefings to a variety of audiences, must be able to convey information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadership

Required Skills/Qualifications

TS/SCI with polygraph
BS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in engineering discipline
13+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge of GEOINT and SIGINT overall space and ground architecture including mission control and/or mission processing functions
Program lifecycle experience from concept development and design to deployment, operations and maintenance, decommission
Experience with CONOPS requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, architecture development
Experience in mission operations environment - ops tempo, performance characterization, utility analysis, system calibrations
Polished communicator, technical topics readily understood by all stakeholders
Strong documentation skills, a superior technical writer
Must be self-motivated with impeccable interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite
Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Outlook, MS Project

DesiredSkills/Qualifications

Familiar with MBSE/Digital Engineering
Cloud Technologies
