Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are looking for a motivated and bright individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, is comfortable contributing fresh ideas, and welcomes learning opportunities. This role requires developing database utilities for large-scale Oracle databases within an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have a curiosity about emerging technology trends and enjoy brainstorming discussions with like-minded technology professionals.
Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and SQL statements in Oracle 19c/21c
- Perform tuning and optimization of SQL and PL/SQL code
- Maintain re-useable development standards to implement solutions and enhancements
- Design solution approaches for large-scale enterprise systems
- Provide code reviews and mentoring across multiple agile teams
- Contribute to migrating to a CI/CD platform (Horizon/BitBucket/Artifactory)
- Understand client requirements (stories), create story-level designs, and translate them into deliverables
- Participate in JIRA story grooming and execution
Requirements: - 7-15 years of experience developing database utilities using PL/SQL for large databases
- Proven track record in implementing large databases in Oracle
- Strong experience in Oracle packages, procedures, functions, and analytics functions
- Experience working with front-end developers
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working in an agile environment with the ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements
- Ability to learn business processes and apply that knowledge to assigned tasks
- Demonstrated excellent programming, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Desired skills: - Experience with object databases and other relational databases is preferred
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
