Role: Mainframe DB2 System Programmer

Location: Plano. Texas 75024

Duration: 12 months

SHORTLIST (share 5-6 new profiles at a time)

Typical Requirements (Technical):

DB2 subsystem installation, migration, and configuration

DB2 catalog/directory management

SMP/E installation & maintenance

DB2 buffer pool tuning, EDM pool tuning

Managing DB2 logs, BSDS, active/archive logs

Performance monitoring using OMEGAMON, Mainview, or similar tools

Applying DB2 PTFs, APAR fixes

Managing DDF, TCP/IP connectivity for DB2

Gap in Profiles Received:

Most candidates are DB2 DBA or Application Support, lacking experience with DB2 subsystem-level tasks such as installation, SMP/E maintenance, PTF application, and system-level performance tuning.
