L2 SQL Server Database Engineer | Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)

We’re looking for an experienced L2 SQL Server Database Engineer to join our team supporting Western Alliance Bank through AgreeYa.

📍 Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)
⏰ Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
💰 Rate: $50–55/hr

🔹 Role Overview

This role focuses on SQL Server infrastructure support, performance tuning, and high availability solutions in enterprise environments.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage MS SQL Server environments
  • Perform patching, upgrades, and DR activities
  • Troubleshoot production issues (deadlocks, CPU, memory, I/O)
  • Implement HADR solutions (Always On, Mirroring, Replication)
  • Manage backups and recovery strategies
  • Support Azure cloud migration initiatives

🔹 Required Skills

✔️ 7+ years of SQL Server experience
✔️ Strong experience with SQL Server 2016/2017
✔️ Expertise in performance tuning & troubleshooting
✔️ Hands-on with HADR technologies
✔️ Experience with Azure (PaaS/IaaS)

🔹 Nice to Have

  • Experience with large databases (VLDB)
  • Exposure to automation & capacity planning
