Position: Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Technician

Location: Boca Raton, Florida (Onsite)

Length: 6+ month rolling contract - highly likely to extend

- Servicing Palm Beach County and potentially some Broward

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for technicians with experience in low-voltage systems, burglar alarms, and structured cabling who are looking for an opportunity to demonstrate their technical abilities and potentially transition into a permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining security and alarm systems while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
  • Perform structured cabling installations including CAT5 and CAT6 cabling.
  • Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance.
  • Educate customers on system operation and features.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage equipment effectively.
  • Identify and recommend additional products or services that enhance customer security and satisfaction.
  • Complete service documentation and reports accurately and on time.
  • Provide professional, high-quality customer service during all customer interactions.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and installation standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience with Burglar Alarm (BA) systems.
  • Experience with low-voltage installations and service.
  • Experience installing or servicing CAT5 and CAT6 cabling.
  • Must possess reliable transportation with ability to hold a 6ft ladder.
  • Must own basic hand tools, including:
    • Screwdrivers
    • Pliers
    • Wire cutters
    • Drill
    • Multimeter
    • Other standard technician tools
  • Must have access to a 6-foot ladder (collapsible ladder acceptable).
  • Ability to lift equipment and work in various installation environments

  • Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience managing inventory and maintaining organized work processes.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Smart home installation and integration experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for additional services and solutions.
  • Comfortable using mobile technology and field service applications.
