Position Overview:

Responsible for maintaining and repairing major pieces of hotel equipment, provide guest service, and be one of the hotel's First Responders in emergency situations. This role will be a support to the Engineering leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all the Refrigeration equipment in the building.
  • Maintain all HVAC equipment in the building (guestrooms, public areas, function rooms)
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment in the building.
  • Maintain all Laundry equipment in the building.
  • Provide technical assistance to other engineers as necessary.
  • Work on other projects as needed.
  • Maintain inventory and orders all equipment supplies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
  • Maintain all equipment according to equipment preventive maintenance program
  • Make all repairs according to manufacture specifications
  • Maintain engineering shops.
  • Maintain engineering inventory.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Previous maintenance experience required, hotel experience and training preferred. Minimum of two years hotel and/or commercial building maintenance required.
  • 608 HVAC license is preferred.
  • Electrical Journeyman License is preferred.
  • One year of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment experience is required, commercial refrigeration experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience with response to emergency situations is required.
  • Good communication, attention to detail, time management, computer and guest satisfaction skills are required.
  • The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • The ability to bend, reach over-head, squat, kneel for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • The ability to utilize step stools and ladders.
  • Must be able to work AM, PM, overnight, weekend and holiday shifts. Schedule will vary according to business and operational needs.
