Job Description
We are seeking an ETL Database Automation Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ETL testing, complex SQL, and test automation and a proven ability to validate end-to-end data pipelines, reconcile datasets, and automate database and UI/API tests.
Responsibilities:
- Design, model, and develop complex SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation across Oracle and SQL Server.
- Validate end-to-end ETL processes including extraction, transformation, and loading for accuracy and completeness.
- Build and maintain database test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Author and execute automated tests using Selenium WebDriver or Playwright; contribute to UI, API, and data-layer automation.
- Leverage Unix/Shell scripting and Python to orchestrate test data setup and pipeline validations.
- Manage test assets and defects using Jira and Micro Focus Octane; collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams.
- Support version control and workflows using Bitbucket and integrate with CI practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8-10 years in software testing and quality engineering with a strong QE background.
- 5+ years hands-on with complex SQL for Oracle and SQL Server, including reconciliation and data validation.
- Expertise in ETL testing and data warehousing concepts.
- Ability to design and support DB test automation; proficiency with Python and Unix/Shell scripting.
- Automation testing with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright; familiarity with Tosca is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and test management in Jira and Micro Focus Octane.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms and data engineering toolchains.
- Exposure to AI/ML testing or data validation scenarios.
- Banking or financial services domain knowledge.
