Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer / Database Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database development, administration, performance tuning, replication, and reporting. Experience supporting enterprise database environments, operational systems, and Power BI reporting is highly desirable.

This is a 100% onsite contract position in Ocoee, FL. Candidates must be available for a face-to-face interview at the client’s location.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.
- Perform database administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Support database migrations, deployments, and SQL Server replication.
- Maintain SQL Server Distributor components and troubleshoot replication issues.
- Develop and maintain KPIs, operational metrics, alerts, and reports.
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Analyze data requirements, data dictionaries, and database structures.
- Support roadside toll systems, vendor deployments, and third-party software patching.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, monitoring, and application teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain database reliability, availability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- 12+ years of overall experience in database development and administration.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with both Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL.
- Strong expertise in SQL programming, stored procedures, database design, and performance tuning.
- Experience with database migrations, deployments, replication, and troubleshooting.
- Strong data analysis, KPI development, and operational reporting skills.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level database environments.

Preferred Skills

- Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server replication and Distributor maintenance.
- Experience with database monitoring, alerts, and deployment processes.
- Experience supporting mission-critical operational systems and coordinating with third-party vendors.
