Job Title: Release Train Engineer
Work Location: Remote – Travel as needed

Position Overview:
The Senior Release Train Engineer will lead value stream optimization and Agile program execution across a complex, multi-team enterprise modernization environment. This role will enable effective operation of the Agile Release Train (ART), establish outcome-driven governance, optimize the flow of value, and coordinate delivery across product, engineering, architecture, quality assurance, DevOps, operations, and PMO functions. The ideal candidate will combine strong SAFe and Lean-Agile leadership with advanced facilitation, systems thinking, quantitative delivery management, and continuous-improvement expertise to produce measurable program and public-service outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of experience serving as a Release Train Engineer, Agile Program Lead, Senior Agile Delivery Lead, or equivalent role leading value stream optimization and Agile program execution across complex, multi-team delivery environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading an Agile Release Train or comparable enterprise delivery construct involving multiple Agile teams, integrated workstreams, shared platforms, distributed stakeholders, and cross-organizational dependencies.
- Proven expertise in Lean and Agile principles, including systems thinking, flow optimization, Theory of Constraints, value stream management, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
- Strong practical knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), including Agile Release Trains, Program Increments, PI objectives, ART events, Lean-Agile leadership, and program-level execution.
