Summary

Position Overview

The Maintenance technician is responsible for safely maintaining and repairing equipment, sprinkler systems, and other facility components. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in maintenance, cleaning up spills, and keeping shop organized. A self-motivated attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician

  • Maintaining machinery. General maintenance throughout the plant, diagnosis and repair all equipment.
  • There may be occasional weekend and night duty, based on project need or emergency.
  • Works safely and follows all related policies and programs to assure a safe working environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work requirements.
  • Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Other job tasks and projects assigned.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AC/DC wiring methods.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC drives and motors.
  • Familiarity with PLCs (Allen Bradley. Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff)
  • Experience with touchscreens
  • Understanding of mechanical systems (bearings, alignment, chains, belts)
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Skills in design and fabricating
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery.
