We are seeking a Facility Maintenance Worker (FMW) to support field operations in the Redmond District. This role involves maintaining and repairing facilities within a high-voltage transmission environment. The position requires approximately 35% overnight travel to field sites and occasional support across other districts.
Overview:
This role supports operations, maintenance, and construction of facility infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient service. The position requires both independent work and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general facility maintenance (painting, carpentry, plumbing, minor remodeling)
Repair and maintain HVAC systems, roofing, concrete, flooring, and structures
Maintain and repair mechanical systems, alarms, fuel systems, and fencing
Conduct grounds maintenance, including snow removal and landscaping
Operate equipment such as forklifts, skid-steers, and man-lifts
Maintain tools, inventory, and maintenance records
Perform inspections and facility condition assessments
Coordinate with vendors and support project work as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 6+ months of facility maintenance experience
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Valid U.S. driver’s license
Preferred:
Experience in project or contract management
Additional Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
Willingness to travel and work in outdoor conditions
Certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days): forklift, man-lift, skid-steer, fall protection
CPR/First Aid certification required
