Job Summary

HIRE Technology is seeking a Project Manager to support a large supply chain technology initiative for a Houston-based enterprise client. This role will work in close partnership with the Lead Project Manager on a major program and is best suited for a Project Manager with solid experience who enjoys collaboration and hands-on support across cross-functional teams.

The Project Manager will assist with planning, coordination, risk management, and timeline tracking while working with technology, business, and operations stakeholders. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that provides a path to joining the organization after 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Project Manager in the execution of a multi-phase technology initiative
• Work with project schedules, milestones, and timeline management
• Track project risks, issues, and dependencies; support mitigation and escalation efforts
• Coordinate activities across cross-functional technology and business teams
• Support project governance, status reporting, and documentation
• Participate in project meetings and follow-up on action items
• Help ensure consistent communication and alignment across stakeholders

Requirements

• 7–10 years of project management experience supporting technology initiatives
• Experience working in supply chain or retail environments is preferred
• Strong experience with risk management, issue tracking, and project timelines
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field
• PMP certification is a plus but not required
