Novacoast is partnering with a state government agency to identify an IBM Verify IAM Engineer to support identity and access management initiatives across multiple state systems and applications. This role will focus on onboarding and integrating applications into the IAM platform using modern authentication and federation protocols, including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM Verify / IBM Security Verify Access (ISAM) and will assist with application onboarding, federation configuration, and IAM platform support in an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support onboarding and integration of enterprise applications into the IBM Verify IAM platform.
- Configure and support Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity federation integrations
- Implement authentication protocols, including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Assist application teams with IAM integrations and authentication configuration.
- Troubleshoot authentication and federation issues related to SAML, OAuth, and token exchanges
- Support configuration of IAM policies, authentication flows, and access controls
- Work with senior IAM engineers to implement integration designs and best practices.
- Document onboarding procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
- Participate in IAM platform maintenance and operational support.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience working with Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies
- Hands-on experience with IBM Verify, IBM Security Verify Access, or IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM)(2-3 years of experience)
- Experience implementing SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, or OpenID Connect (OIDC) integrations
- Experience with onboarding applications into IAM platforms
- Understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity federation
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and XML
- Familiarity with LDAP and Active Directory
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WebSEAL or reverse proxy technologies
- Experience supporting Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Familiarity with Linux environments
- Experience working within government or regulated environments
