Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Support: Participate actively in proposals, quoting, project scoping, and other customer-facing commercial activities.
  • Resource & Financial Management: Own engineering budgets, project resources, work priorities, schedules, and overall operational deliverables.
  • Growth & Scaling: Help build and strengthen the broader multi-site engineering leadership structure as the organization expands operations.

  • Experience: 15+ years of progressive engineering experience within switchgear, electrical power distribution, electrical equipment manufacturing, or a closely related heavy industrial sector.
  • Management History: Minimum of 5 to 6+ years of successful engineering management experience, with a proven track record leading sizable technical organizations (experience managing teams of 30+ employees is highly desirable).
  • Technical Background: Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with deep, hands-on knowledge of heavy switchgear and power distribution equipment design and manufacturing.
  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated history bridging technical engineering operations with customer-facing commercial environments.
  • Leadership Profile: A well-rounded leader comfortable operating in a highly visible role with significant accountability across technical direction, manufacturing impact, and people management.
